CIHEAM BARI is launching the sixth edition of the Advanced specialised course on the Sustainable Development of Coastal Communities, funded by the Italian Cooperation.

The course focuses on the sustainable development of coastal communities and the blue economy, promoting the integration of diverse and effective strategies for managing coastal areas, preserving cultural heritage and local practices, safeguarding environmental resources, and fostering sustainable economic growth.

Establish new institutional networks that foster regional cooperation and develop policies for sustainable coastal communities worldwide.

Design initiatives that promote the Sustainable Development of Coastal Communities through an integrated cross-sectoral approach.

Acquire knowledge of good practices in managing sustainable coastal activities, including fisheries, aquaculture, integrated agriculture, value chains, value addition, diversification, environmental services, eco-tourism, cultural heritage, and innovation.
