The core of CIHEAM Bari educational activity is the organization of Master and MSc courses for young students from CIHEAM country members and over.

Applications are open for the first-year programs (60 ECTS credits): organised only by CIHEAM Bari or in collaboration with an Italian university, awarding a CIHEAM Bari diploma or a jointly-issued diploma.

A limited number of Master graduates can be admitted to the 2-year programs (120 ETCS credits), awarding the CIHEAM Master of Science diploma.

Every year, we host a vibrant community of students from many countries, actively engaged on their studies and practical works, living on the campus and involved in social activities promoted by the Institute and by local partners.

Selected students get partial (registration and tuition fees) or full scholarships (registration and tuition fees, round-trip air tickets from their country of origin, board and lodging on CIHEAM Bari campus, health and accident insurance, medical service, and monthly pocket money).

Courses are organized by CIHEAM Bari scientific administrators, who have matured their competencies through multiple years-activity in the field of research and cooperation. Each course has its own scientific board, which takes care of the contents, teaching approaches and students’ tutoring. Programs benefit of the contribution of experts from different countries and organizations, from research, governmental and non-governmental institutions, and private actors. Field visits, lab activities, individual and team projects are key part of the programs aimed to develop students’ skills and competencies.

Every year, two MSc theses compete for the Best Thesis Prize awarded by CIHEAM.
