CIHEAM Bari and the
University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo are launching the 2nd edition of the Master’s programme in Local Food Policy, organized with the contribution of their key partners Slow Food Italia and the World Farmers Markets Coalition/Campagna Amica and the technical and scientific support of the University of Turin (Department of Cultures, Politics and Society), Està – Economia e Sostenibilità, the Italian Network of Local Food Policies and the National Food Districts Council.
The master’s programme, held in English stretches from January to December 2026 for a total duration of 1,500 hours (60 ECTS Credits). The course has a blended learning structure that combines face-to-face activities with online sessions, balancing academic lectures with experiential learning through applied activities, supported by our open innovation lab.
The Master’s overall goal is to nurture expertise in local food systems and policies. It provides students with the skills and knowledge to drive significant advancements in food policy analysis, sustainable food management, and advocacy for equitable food practices. By focusing on local initiatives with global impacts, the course opens pathways to roles in food policy analysis, sustainable food planning, and innovative food enterprise management.
The Master is open to students holding undergraduate, bachelor’s or other post-secondary degrees in any field.
